---------Christopher brought Gavin to Southfork, where Gavin came face to face with Ben, and it turned out Gavin and Ben are brothers!

Southfork....morning....

Alex, Shawn, and Michael all dive into the pool at Southfork in the morning, all three boys swimming the length of the pool, the two older leaving Michael far behind them as they swim to the other side of the pool, turn around and swim the length of the pool in the other direction.  Shawn wins the race by a hair.  "See, told you I could still beat you," he gloats to Alex once the race is finished.

"I guarantee by the end of this summer, I'll be beating your ass,"  Alex says as he and Shawn climb out of the pool.

"That's not fair,"  Michael complains, looking at his cousin and Shawn.  "You guys are older and bigger than me."

"Yeah, so?"  Shawn asks.

"So, you should let me get a head start sometime,"  says Michael.   "To make it fair."

"Forget it, Michael, you're never gonna beat us,"  Alex says.

"Yeah, well Shawn beat you, too, so, you can't say anything.  "Just wait til I'm older, I'll beat both of you jerks,"  Michael says.

The two older boys laugh at Michael's comment.  Just then, Jenna's car drives up and comes to a stop in the parking area.  She gets out of the car and walks over to the pool.

"Hello, boys," she says.

"Hey, Grandma,"  Alex says.

"Grandma!"  Michael says, getting out of the pool and running to Jenna.

"Michael, hello, my darling,"  Jenna says.  "Careful, you're all wet."

"Sorry."

"Hello, Shawn."

"Hi, Ms. Wade, how're you doing?"

"I'm fine, thank you.  Bobby's car is here.  Is he at home?"

"Yeah, he's in the house,"  Alex replies.

Jenna smiles.  "Thank you.  I'll see you boys later," she says, then turns and walks into the house.

Alex picks up a towel from a chair and begins to dry himself off.

"Dude, ummm, your grandmother has been coming out here a lot lately, hasn't she?"  Shawn asks.

"Yeah, so?"

"She's been spending a lot of time with Bobby?"

"I guess.  I think mainly she comes out here to see my Uncle Lucas.  He IS her son, you know."

"Yeah, but she didn't ask if LUCAS was home.  She asked if BOBBY was,"  Shawn says.

"So?  Shawn what are you getting at?"  Alex asks.

"Well, my Aunt Ann and Bobby are split up, for now.  Aunt Ann's not living here, and, now, suddenly, your grandmother is coming out here almost every day.  Bro, I think she's tryin' to move in on Bobby while Ann's gone."

"Shawn, that's ridiculous,"  Alex says.  "My Grandma and Uncle Bobby go way back.  They grew up together, they almost got married.  They have a kid together, my Uncle Lucas."

"Which makes even more sense that she'd still have the hots for him, even after all these years.  And what better time to make a move on him than now, when he and Ann are separated?"

"I still think you're crazy, dude.  But, anyway, I have to go and get dressed.  I'm picking Bridget up and we're gonna pick her sister up at the airport."

"Oh yeah?  Well, I gotta get goin', too.  I told Ashley I'd stop by and hang out with her this afternoon,"  Shawn says.

Downtown Dallas....

Catlin, Sue Ellen, C.J., and Eric are all sitting quietly in an office in downtown Dallas, when a man walks into the office.  "Mr. Ewing, I'm sorry to have kept you all waiting,"  the man says.

"That's quiet alright,doctor,"  says Catlin.

"I'm also sorry that the results took a couple more days to get back than I originally told you."

"Look, could we dispense with the small talk and you just give us the results, please?"  Eric asks.

"Yes, of course,"  the doctor replies.  He takes the envelope he holds in his hand and opens it.  He takes out a piece of paper and unfolds it.  We did two tests, just to make sure of the results."

"And?"  Catlin asks.  "What are the results?  Am I Eric's father?"

"The tests were conclusive.  Mr. Ewing, Mr. Love.......you are, indeed, father and son.  Your DNA matched perfectly."

Catlin and Eric exchange looks.  "I knew it,"  says Catlin.

C.J. smiles.  "Well, Eric.  Now we're truly brothers."

Eric runs his hand through his hair as he lets out a deep breath.  "I can't believe it.  All my life, I've been Eric Love.  Now, after 24 years, how do I get use to being a Ewing?"  He asks.

Dallas-Love Field Airport, early afternoon....

Alex and Bridget are at Love Field Airport early in the afternoon awaiting the arrival of Bridget's twin sister, Michelle McKinnon, from Bay City, Illinois.  After a few minutes, Bridget spots her sister through the crowd.  "Oh, there she is,"  she says.

"Bridget!"  Michelle says excitedly as the two sisters meet and greet each other with a hug.

"How was your flight?"  Bridget asks.

"LONG.  Hi, Alex."

"Michelle, good to see you,"  Alex says.

"Bridget, you look great after everything you've been through.  I'm so sorry I wasn't here for you."

"It's okay.  I'm just glad you're here now,"  says Bridget.

"Hey, where's Grandmother?"  Michelle asks.

"She's at home, fighting off a summer cold, so she didn't wanna get in a crowd."

"Well, let's get going, I can't wait to see her,"  Michelle says as she, Bridget, and Alex head through the crowded airport.

The Omni Hotel....

Emma is sitting on the sofa in Ann's suite at The Omni that afternoon, blankly staring into space, when Ann walks in.  "Well, it took some doin', but I finally got Logan off to sleep.  He's been real fussy."

"I think he's still teething,"  Emma says.

Ann looks at her daughter.  "Emma, how long are you gonna mope around this hotel room?  It's been a few days since we got back from California.  Don't you think it's time you got out and at least got some sun?"

"Have you heard from Lucas?"

"No, I haven't.  You know Bobby itn't talkin' to me right now."

"I really messed everything up,"  Emma says.

"I can't disagree with you, there.  But, I'm just as much to plain for this whole mess as you are.  After all, I did go along with  the lie about Logan."  Ann walks over to her.  "Emma, don't you think it's time you told me what REALLY happened at Falcon Crest, and how that fire started?"

Emma looks at her mother and sighs.  "How many times are we gonna have to go over this?"

"Until you tell me the truth.  Emma, I know you're not tellin' me everything that happened.  I also believe that Lucas's bein' at Falcon Crest had somethin' to do with that fire."

"Are you saying you think Lucas started the fire?"  Emma asks.

Before Ann can say anything, a knock comes at the door.  "Who in the world can that be?"  Ann asks.  She walks over and opens the door to find Cliff standing there.  "Cliff, what are you doin' here?"

"I came to see my daughter,"  Cliff replies, walking past Ann and into the suite.  "Emma, are you alright?"

"I'm fine."

"My daughter and grandson were nearly killed in a fire at Falcon Crest a week ago and I'm just now hearing about it?"  Cliff asks.  "Ann, why the hell didn't you call me?"

"Cliff, you were about the last person in the world on my mind to call when Bobby told me about that fire."

"I am her father, I am Logan's grandfather, and I should've been notified."

"Look, I'm fine,"  says Emma.  "Logan is fine."

"Well, good.  Where is the little guy, I'd like to see him?"

"He's asleep and I don't wanna wake him,"  replies Ann.

"Oh, I see.  Emma, are you SURE you're okay?"  Cliff asks.

"Yes, I'm fine.  Really,"  Emma says.

"Alright, Cliff, now that you've seen that Emma is okay, you can leave now,"  says Ann.

"Hold on a minute.  I heard that Bobby's son Lucas was also injured in that fire.  What the hell was he doing at Falcon Crest, anyway?"

Ann and Emma exchange looks.  "I guess you may as well know,"  Emma says.  "Lucas found out that he's Logan's father, and not Kevin."

"He WHAT?"

"That's why he was in California.  To see me about it and to see Logan."

"Let me get this straight........Lucas EWING is Logan's father?"  Cliff asks.

"Yes,"  Emma replies.

"I don't believe this.  How did he find out?"

"He found out courtesy of Tripp McKay,"  says Ann.

"Wow.  Oh, boy, Tripp McKay.  I can't believe I ever thought of that guy as a son,"  Cliff says.  "He betrayed me, and hurt everyone in my family.  I hate to say it but, good riddance to him."

Southfork....evening....

"Sue Ellen, it's great to see you,"  Bobby says, greeting Sue Ellen with a kiss on the cheek as he welcomes her into the den at Southfork that evening.

"It's good to see you too, Bobby."

"Can I fix ya a club soda?"

"Yes, I would love one."

"Comin' right up,"  Bobby says, going to the bar.  "Where's Catlin tonight?"  He grabs a glass and begins fixing her drink.

"He's having dinner in town with C.J. and Eric.  We got the results of the DNA test back today."

Bobby hands Sue Ellen her glass of club soda.  "And?"

"And the test was conclusive.  Catlin is Eric's father."

"Well, I know that must make Catlin very happy.  And what about Eric?  How'd he take the news?"

"It's hard to say.  This is all very confusing for him."

"I can imagine,"  Bobby says.  "I feel really sorry for that young man.  He's had his whole life turned upside down this last year."

"Yes, and he's going to need all the support he can get."

"Well, if it's support he needs, then he definitely ended up in the right family, because we'll give him more support than he can handle."

Sue Ellen smiles.  "Thank you, Bobby.  Now, how are YOU doing?"

"I have good days and bad days.  But I'm tryin' to stay busy to keep my mind occupied."

"Have you seen Ann since you got back from California?"  Sue Ellen asks.

"No, I haven't."

"Bobby, you're going to have to talk to her, eventually.  I know that Ann feels terrible about keeping the truth from you."

"I don't doubt that, Sue Ellen,"  Bobby says.  "But the fact remains Ann DID lie to me all that time, and to my son.  She always regrets her lies and her bad decisions, but that never stops her from making the same mistakes over and over again.  And this time I just can't get past it.  Hers and Emma's lies could have cost my son his life."

"So, Bobby, what are you saying?  That there's really no hope for you and Ann to get back together this time?"

"Sue Ellen, I can't answer that.  I don't know.  Right now, I don't know what's gonna happen or what the future holds.  All I do know is that I'm still mad as hell at Ann for keeping this secret about my grandson from me.  And as for Emma.........well, if I never had to see her face again, it'd be too soon."

Afton's Lounge....

Later that night, Afton is performing one of her songs at her club:

"The sweetest emotion

When a woman loves a man

(Woman loves a man)

A miracle happened

But then it slipped right thru my hands

I’m reaching for you

What more can I do

I need you to try and let me love you again

‘Cause I’m walking in the shadow of love

I’ve got to find a light that shines on thru

Yes, I’m walking in the shadow of love

I’m looking for you

I’ve got to find you

Running thru a river of tears

Can I get close enough to reach the shore

When I’m walking in the shadow of love

I find you once more

Walking in the shadow of love

I take another step

But how can I forget

‘Cause when I look above

I see the shadow of love

‘Cause I’m walking in the shadow of love

I’ve got to find a light that shines on thru

Yes, I’m walking in the shadow of love

I’m looking for you, looking for my baby

Running thru a river of tears

Can I get close enough to reach the shore

When the shadow is beginning to clear

I'll find you once more

Walking in the shadow of love

(Walking in the shadow of love)

The shadow of love

(Walking in the shadow of love)"

When the song is finished, Afton receives a thunderous round of applause from the audience.  "Thank you,"  she says.  "Thank you very much."  Afton puts down her microphone and walks over to a table where Cliff is sitting.

"That was great,"  Cliff says.  "I always did love that song."

"Well, thank you.  But, from up there it didn't look like you were enjoying it very much."

"I'm sorry.  It wasn't the song, that was beautiful like I said.  I just.......I just have a lot on my mind tonight, that's all."

"Like what, Cliff?  What's going on?"  Afton asks.

"Well, I went by to see Emma today, and I got some news."

"I take it must be bad news from the way you're moping."

"Could definitely be better."

"Cliff, what was the news?"  Afton asks.

"Well, turns out that Kevin Channing wasn't the father of Emma's little boy, Logan.  And you'll never guess who that baby's real father is."

"Who?"

"Lucas Ewing,"  Cliff replies.

"Really?  Well I can't say that I'm really surprised.  After all, Emma and Lucas were dating before she ended up with Kevin Channing and moved to California."

"This is just an-other connection that links the Barneses to that family, I swear, I am never going to be able to escape the Ewings for as long as I live."

"I'm afraid not, Cliff,"  Afton says.  "But look, it could be worse.  I mean, I don't really know him that well, but, from everything I've heard, Lucas seems like a very nice young nice man.  At least John Ross isn't the father."

Cliff slightly smiles and nods.  "Yeah, thank God for small favors.  I also learned something else.  Y'know who spilled the beans to Lucas about him being the father of Emma's child?  None other than our late former son-in-law, Tripp McKay."

"Tripp?  Well how did he know?"

"I don't have any idea.  Boy, Tripp caused so much grief for so many people, including me."

"And ESPECIALLY Pamela,"  says Afton.

"Yeah.  And Brad.  Tripp had called in that ten million dollar loan Brad had gotten from him.  We were about to lose our company to Tripp if he hadn't ended up dead.  And now, it's only a matter of time before his Aunt Tracey, the executor of Tripp's estate, is gonna call the loan in on behalf of the estate."

"So what are you gonna do?"

"I dunno,"  replies Cliff.  "But somehow, Brad and I have got to come up with ten million dollars to repay that loan, or, we lose the company to Tracey.  But, at least Tripp's murder did buy us a little time, which is a good thing."

Afton looks at Cliff suspiciously after hearing him say that he and Brad had been given some time as a result of Tripp's murder.

Ewing Oil....two days later....

Sally buzzes Bobby's office.  "Mr. Ewing, there's someone here to see you."

"Oh?  Well, who is it, Sally?"  Bobby asks.

"She says she's an old friend, and wants to surprise you."

"Surprise me?  Alright, ummm, send whoever this mystery visitor is in."

"Yes, sir."

Bobby stands from his seat.  A moment later, his mystery visitor walks in and turns out to be none other than J.R.'s former secretary, Sly Duncan.

"Got time to visit with an old friend?"  Sly asks, entering the office.

Bobby smiles.  "Sly, hello," he says happily, walking over to greet her with a kiss on the cheek.  "How are you?"

"I'm great.  And how are you?"

"Well, I'm doing okay.  What brings you back to Dallas?  I thought you went back to Galveston right after James's funeral."

"I'm actually going to be in town for a while,"  Sly replies.  "In fact, I may be here indefinitely.  My son Cole just transferred to SMU for the summer term, and well, with him here, I decided to come along, too rather than stay back home all alone."

"Well, that is just great.  Sly, do you have any particular plans for your time here in Dallas?"

"To tell you the truth, Bobby, I do have some plans, and that's why I'm here.  I heard through the grapevine that you were looking for a new secretary."

"Well, yes, we are.  We lost one of our secretaries a while back, and the person

who was filling in for her didn't work out, either.  Sly, are you here asking for your old job back?"

"Well, I guess you could say that."

"Sly, that's just wonderful,"  Bobby says.  "I can't think of anyone more qualified or anyone I'd rather hire for this job, with the possible exception of Phyllis, but, she's already turned me down.  So if you want it, the job is yours."

"Oh, Bobby, I can't thank you enough."

"It's I who should be thanking YOU.  We've already interviewed four or five prospects, but, I wasn't terribly impressed with any of 'em."

Sly smiles.  "Wow.  Coming back to Ewing Oil after all these years."

"I know it'll be a little different for ya here without J.R."

"You're right about that.  I was J.R.'s secretary for a lot of years.  But it'll be wonderful to be back.  Like.......coming home.  When would you like for me to start?"

"No time like the present.  Of course we'll have to get you hooked up with our personnel department, and do the paperwork, and get you in the system.  So, if you have time right now, we can go ahead and get that done."

"I have nothing BUT time,"  says Sly.

"Terrific.  Come on, I'll introduce you around. Oh, and Sly.......welcome home."

Sly flashes a wide smile.  A moment later, she and Bobby leave his office and walk into the large outer office and approach Sally, who is about to file some documents.

"Sally, you've met Sly, haven't you?"  Bobby asks,

"Yes, when she arrived."

"Well, Sly use to work for us here at Ewing Oil for many years, and I just hired her back.  She's gonna be Janice's replacement."

"That's wonderful,"  Sally says with a smile.  "Welcome back to Ewing Oil, Sly.  I look forward to working with you."

"Thank you, and I look forward to working with you, as well.  And I'll probably need your help.  It's been quite some time since I worked as a secretary, and I'm sure that a lot has changed."

"A few things have changed, but I'll be glad to help in any way I can."

"I see that you ladies are gonna get along just fine,"  says Bobby.  "Come on, Sly, I'll take ya down to personel and get you officially hired on."

"Alright.  Sally, I'll see you soon."

"Okay, and congratulations."

"Thank you,"  Sly says as she and Bobby walk away.

 Ewing Records....

Pamela comes out of her office at Ewing Records and walks over to Justin's office door and knocks.  "He's not in, Pamela,"  says the young receptionist, Kim.

"Oh?  Where is he?"

"Mr. Ewing said he needed to step out for a while.  Said he needed some air," replies Kim.

Pamela sighs.  "Thanks, Kim."

"You're welcome."

As Pamela starts to head back to her office, Jimmy walks in.  "Justin," she says.  "Are you okay? Where were you?"

"I just took a walk downstairs.  Needed to stretch my legs."

"Justin, what's going on?"  Pamela asks.  "I know something's bothering you."

"Yeah, well, a murder charge and possible prison sentence hangin' over my head does kinda bother me."

"Justin, I'm sorry,"  Pamela says, walking over to him.  "You're innocent.  You didn't kill Tripp, and that's going to be proven."

"Darlin', a lot of innocent people end up in prison for crimes they didn't commit.  And we both know I had motive.  Plenty of motive."

Jimmy comes out of his office.  "Justin, Pamela.  I was just coming in to see you both."

"Jimmy, is something wrong?"  Pamela asks.

"Yeah,"  Jimmy replies.  "Guys, we have a real problem."

"Okay, let's here it,"  says Justin.

"Universal Records wants out of their contract with us, and I just got a call from Nikki Randall's agent, and, they've decided to sign with another record company."

"What?"  Pamela asks.  "But, Nikki's album, along with Michael's, were going to be our first two big releases.  Nikki was set to go into the studio this week to begin recording."

"I know."

"Why would she and her agent back out?  And why would Universal cancel our contract?"

"Why do you think?"  Justin asks.  "It's because of me, itn't it, Jimmy?  Because of my arrest for Tripp McKay's murder.  Nobody wants to be associated with a murder suspect, least of all someone who's tryin' to launch a singin' career."

Jimmy sighs.  "Justin, I'm sorry.  Look, we still have Michael.  His album is set for release in just a few weeks.  And I'm sure we'll find another act to sign.  There's plenty of local talent right here in Dallas."

"No.  No we won't."

"Justin, what do you mean?"  Pamela asks.

"Like I said.  Nobody wants to be associated with a record comp'ny who's president is facin' trial for first degree murder. Let's face it.  Ewing Records is never even gonna get off the ground as long as I remain at the head of this comp'ny."

"So what do you suggest?"  Jimmy asks.  "We launch some PR campaign?"

"No.  Look, Pamela, you wanna know the real reason I had to step out of the office for a few minutes?  Because I was upset.  I got a phone call earlier, from Zedd.  He said that he's sorry, but he can't co-produce Michael's album for Ewing Records because it would be detrimental to his career to be associated with us right now, as long as I'm head of the comp'ny."

"This is absolutely ridiculous," says an angry Pamela.  "What the hell ever happened to innocent until proven guilty?"

"In this country, that concept seems to have gone out the window,"  Justin says.

"Alright, so what are we gonna do?"  Jimmy asks.

"There's only one thing TO do,"  replies Justin.  "I have to step down.  I'll resign as president of Ewing Records, and distance myself from the comp'ny.  Hopefully that'll save everything we've worked for."

"Justin, no,"  says Pamela.

"It's the only way, Pamela.  I got no other choice.  Even dead, Tripp McKay is still ruinin' our lives."  Justin turns and walks over to his office and goes in, closing the door behind him.

"Poor Justin,"  Jimmy says.  "He wanted this company so much."

"This is so unfair,"  Pamela says, fighting back tears.  "Justin has worked so hard to get Ewing Records going."

"I know.  But, unfortunately, he's right.  If we wanna save this company, then Justin is gonna have to step down, at least until this whole thing is over."

Pamela walks over and looks through the window into Justin's office.  She watches as he stands at the window, looking out over the city.  Pamela's heart breaks for the man she loves, and she feels partly responsible for the mess Justin's life has become.  After all, had he not become involved with her, none of this trouble between Tripp and Justin would have happened.

Southfork....afternoon....

Alex, Bridget, Michelle, and Shawn, are out horseback riding on Southfork in the afternoon.   "Wow," Michelle

says.  "Southfork is absolutely gorgeous.  Just look at those rolling green pastures.  I swear, I could stay here forever.  Alex, you're really lucky living on a ranch like this."

"Yeah, I think so,"  Alex says with a smile.

"Just how big is this ranch, anyway?"

"I think around 90,000 acres, more or less."

"That's the same question I asked him the first time he took me riding out here,"  says Bridget.

"Alex, where's that cute friend of yours, Shawn?"  Michelle asks.

"He's probably hanging out with my cousin Ashley."

"Hmmm, too bad.  I was really hoping he would join us today."

"Why?"  Alex asks.

"I like him.  I think he's nice, and incredibly handsome, just like you,"  replies Michelle.  "But, unfortunately my sister met you first."

Alex smiles at the compliment.  "Well, thanks."

"Maybe Shawn can join us for dinner later."

"I doubt it,"  says Bridget.  "Shawn spends most of his free time with Ashley these days."

"So, Ashley is his girlfriend?"

"Sort of,"  replies Alex.

"Sort of?  Well, either she is, or she isn't."

"Michelle, Shawn and Ashley are together, which means......he's off limits,"  Bridget says.

Michelle looks at her sister and smiles.  "Maybe, and maybe not," she says.

Avanti Restaurant at Fountain Place, Dallas....

Eric and Donna Love are having lunch that afternoon at Avanti Restaurant in Fountain Place, the building that houses not only Eric's company, Love International, but also Catlin Oil.  "Eric, I am really sorry about everything that's happened.  Especially about everything that your father.......that my brother put you through.  But I want you to know, sweetheart, that, I'm here for you.  You may not be my nephew by blood, but I still love you and will ALWAYS consider you a part of my family."

"Thank you, Aunt Donna.  Right now, I feel like my life has reached a major crossroads, and I don't know which way to go.  Which road to take."

"This all must be very confusing to you,"  Donna Love says.

"It is.  In just a year I went from believing that my mother had died many years ago, to finding out she'd been alive and well all that time, until she was murdered by the man I thought was my father.  And, then I go from being a Love, to being a Ewing.  This whole thing still feels like a bad dream."

"Oh, honey, I can imagine,"  Donna says.

"But, there is one good thing that's come out of all of this.  And that's my relationship with C.J.  Y'know, all my life, I always wanted a brother.  And now I have one.  Our relationship started off very rocky last year, but, now, C.J. and I are true brothers in every sense of the word, and it feels great.  C.J. has been very supportive through this whole thing, and I'm not sure I could've made it without him."

"I'm very glad that he's been there for you.  And I do hope that you can form a relationship with Catlin, as well.  Brittany took so much from both of you, and from C.J."

Meanwhile, Catlin walks into the restaurant.  Spotting Eric and Donna, he smiles, then walks over to their table. "Well, Eric. hello, Donna,"  he says.

"Catlin,"  Donna Love says.  "How wonderful to see you."

"It's nice to see you, too."

"Would you like to join us?"

"Well, I can, but only for a minute,"  Catlin replies, taking a seat at the table.  "I'm meeting Sue Ellen here for lunch, and she seems to be running a bit late."

"Well, if you'll both excuse me, I have to get back up to the office,"  Eric says.

"So early?"  Catlin asks.

"Yeah, that's why I asked Aunt Donna to meet me for an early lunch.  I have a conference call at 1, and I have to prepare for it, so, I'll see you both later."  Eric gets up from his seat.  "Aunt Donna, thank you for lunch,"  he says, kissing Donna on the cheek.

"My pleasure, darling."

"We'll do it again soon.  Catlin."

"I'll talk to you soon,"  Catlin says as Eric walks away.  Catlin watches his son as Eric goes to the elevator and gets on.

"Eric was telling me about the DNA results.  That they prove what Peter said was the truth.  That you're Eric's father."

"Yes.  For once in his life, Peter actually told the truth about something,"  says Catlin.

"How do you feel about having another son?"  Donna Love asks.

Catlin smiles.  "I couldn't be happier.  I've always been very fond of Eric from the moment I first met him.  And now to find out that he's my son, well, I'm very pleased."

Donna smiles.  "Who would have thought years ago when we lived in Bay City, that we would be reunited, both of us living here in Dallas?"

"Certainly not I.  Life has a strange way of coming full circle, doesn't it?'

"Yes, it does.  Do you ever think about the old days?  When you and I were........ intimate friends?"

Catlin laughs.  "We were intimate, Donna, but, were we ever really friends?"

As Catlin and Donna are talking, a smiling Sue Ellen walks into the restaurant.  While she is waiting to be seated, Sue Ellen looks around the crowded restaurant and sees Catlin sitting with Donna.  The smile quickly disappears from her face and is replaced by a look of surprise, which turns to anger.  Sue Ellen is not pleased to see her husband especially and Donna laughing, and Catlin appearing to enjoy himself talking to a woman he once had an affair with.  All of Sue Ellen's insecurities begin to rise up inside of her.  She watches the two for a moment, then finally walks over to their table.  "Catlin,"  she says.

"Well, there you are,"  Catlin says, standing to greet his wife with a kiss.

"I'm, uh, sorry I'm late,"  Sue Ellen says.  "I had a meeting that ran a little longer than expected."

"That's quite alright, I ran into Donna."

"Yes, Catlin and I were just amusing ourselves by talking about old times,"  Donna says.  "You know, reminiscing about when we both lived in Bay City."

"Yes, I'll bet you were,"  Sue Ellen says.

"Darling, why don't we go to our table?"  Catlin asks.  "Donna, it was nice seeing you.  Take care."

"Yes, you, too, Catlin.  And, Sue Ellen......always a pleasure,"  Donna says in an insincere tone.

Sue Ellen ignores Donna's remark as she and Catlin walk away.  Donna smiles in the fact that Sue Ellen seemed bothered by seeing her with Catlin.

Southfork....night....

That evening, Bobby, Lucas, Heather, Michael, John Ross, Krystina, Alex, Lucy, Justin, Pamela, Debra Lynn, Jimmy, and Ashley gather in the living room at Southfork for drinks before dinner.  Various conversations are going on around the room, and standing near the bar, John Ross pours two drinks, one of which he hands to Justin, and the other he keeps for himself.

"Thanks,"  Justin says.

"You're welcome,"  says John Ross.  "Now that we got a minute to ourselves, how are you really doin'?  I know this whole thing must be takin' its toll on you."

Justin sighs as he takes a sip of his drink.  "You're right about that," he says.  "Especially how my arrest and the publicity around it has affected Ewing Records."

"I know."

"That's why I made the decision to step down as head of the comp'ny."

John Ross looks at his brother.  "Justin, look, I'm gonna say somethin', and I don't want you to take  this the wrong way.  But, do you really think it's wise for you to be seein' Pamela right now.  I mean, after all, it was your relationship with her that got you into this mess in the first place."

"John Ross, please don't start,"  Justin says.  "Not tonight."

"I'm not startin' anything, I'm just statin' a fact.  You're charged with Tripp McKay's murder, and you datin' his ex-wife might only make you look guiltier when this thing goes to trial, especially if it comes out that McKay had threatened you to stay away from her.   I warned you about gettin' involved with Pamela in the first place, and......."

"Look, none of this is Pamela's fault, John Ross.  She's an innocent victim in this whole mess.  McKay made her life a livin' hell.  Now, I love her, she and I are together, and we're gonna stay together.  Pamela and the boys are the only thing that's keepin' me goin' right now."

"Alright, but I'm just tryin' to tell you, little brother......"

"John Ross, would you just drop it?"

"Okay, fine, I won't say another word."

Bobby walks over to them.  "Excuse me," he says.  "I don't mean to interrupt, but, Justin, could I have a quick word with John Ross?"

"Sure,"  Justin says, then walks away.  He sees Lucas walk out onto the patio and decides to follow his cousin.  Justin

comes onto the patio and finds Lucas standing near the pool, looking out into the darkness.  "Would you rather be alone?"  Justin asks.

"No, not at all,"  replies Lucas.  "Just came out here for some fresh air, and to clear my mind.  Kinda hard to think in there with everyone chattering away."

"Yeah, true.  What's on your mind?"

"Just not being able to remember what happened to me in California, or why I was even there to see Emma,"  replies Lucas.  "I've been wracking my brain for days and days tryin' to remember, but, it's like a total blank."

"It'll come to you in time, man.  Prob'ly when you least expect it."

"So what about you?"  Lucas asks.  "Man, I'm sorry, I've been so wrapped up in my own problems, with trying to remember the night of the fire, that I haven't even asked how you're holdin' up."

Justin sighs.  "It's hard.  And I'm not gonna lie to you, cuz, I'm scared to death.  Lucas, one thing I wanted to talk to you about is Ewing Records.  I stepped down as president of the comp'ny."

"You stepped down?  But why?"

"I had to for the good of the comp'ny,"  Justin says.  "We were losin' advertisers, and a couple of our artists wanted out of their contracts, and Zedd informed us that he could no longer be a producer for us.  All because of the bad publicity surroundin' my arrest for Tripp McKay's murder.  So, I figured I'd best step away before I drag Ewing Records down with me."

"Justin, I'm sorry.  I really am,"  Lucas says.  "I know how much you wanted this.  But, this thing is gonna blow over.  The real killer is gonna be found, and you'll be exonerated.  Then things can go back to normal."

"I been tryin' to tell myself that ever since I got outta jail.  But, I'm not sure I believe it anymore.  But, one thing I wanted to assure you, is that, Michael's album is still gonna be released on the scheduled due date next month.  Jimmy is gonna step in as president, and run things for me.  I thought about askin' you if you wanted the job, but, I wasn't real sure you'd want the comp'ny back after you sold it to me."

"You're right.  I'm happy here, runnin' Southfork.  But I AM happy to hear that none of this will affect Michael's CD coming out.  He's really been excited about that."

Justin nods.  "I'm glad."

Lucas walks over to his cousin and puts his hand on Justin's shoulder.  "Everything is gonna be okay, Justin.  You're innocent, and that's gonna be proven."

"You seem real sure of that."

"I am.  Justin, I know you.  And I know you didn't kill McKay because you're NOT a killer."

"Anybody can be pushed to kill under the right circumstances, Lucas.  And I sure as hell had the motive to kill that son of a bitch."

"Yeah, and from what I hear, so did half the people in Dallas,"  Lucas says.

"Yeah, including ........"  Justin stops talking abruptly as he was about to say inlcuding Lucas himself.

"Including.....who?"  Lucas asks.

"Like you said, including half the people in Dallas,"  Justin says as Heather comes out of the house.

"Hey, guys, dinner's ready,"  she says.

"We're coming,"  says Lucas.

As Justin goes into the house, Heather walks over to her husband.  "You alright?  You've been awful quiet all evenin'."

"It just bugs the hell out of me that I can't remember what happened the night of the fire, or why I was even in California.  Heather, why would I go to see Emma?"

"Well, dinner's ready right now, and we don't wanna keep the rest of the fam'ly waitin', so......."

"Okay,"  says Lucas.  "It can wait.  I just really wanna know."

Heather nods.  She kisses Lucas, then the two go into the house together, holding hands.

Sue Ellen's home....the next morning....

"Sue Ellen have you seen my blue tie?"  Catlin asks the next morning as he and Sue Ellen are getting ready for work.

"It's in the closet,"  Sue Ellen replies, sitting at her dresser putting in her earrings.

"No, it's not, I've looked three times."

Sue Ellen gets up from the dresser, walks into the closet, moves some of Catlin's clothes, and pulls out his blue tie.  She hands it to him without saying a word and goes back to the dresser.

"Well, thanks,"  Catlin says.  "Sue Ellen, what's bothering you?  You've been in this mood ever since lunch yesterday.  It wouldn't happen to be because you saw me sitting with Donna Love, now would it?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," she says.  "Why would that bother me?"

"I dunno, you tell me.  Sue Ellen, I know that you're jealous of Donna.  But as I've told you before, you have no reason to be."

"No reason to be?  And what about your history with that woman?"  Sue Ellen asks.

"My history with that woman ended more than thirty years ago.  Sue Ellen, I am not even attracted to Donna."

"I'm sorry.  I just don't like her, that's all."

"Because I slept with her years ago?"  Catlin asks.  "You're being a little overly dramatic, aren't you?"  He walks over to her.  "Sue Ellen, we have been through this before.  There is nothing between Donna Love and myself, and there hasn't been for long, LONG time.   You are the only woman for me, and  I am NOT J.R. Ewing, so I'm not gonna cheat on you."

Sue Ellen looks at him and breathes a sigh of relief.  She smiles.  "I'm sorry.  I know, I was just being foolish."

"Yes, you were,"  Catlin says with a smile.  He takes her by the hand and she stands to face him.  "Sue Ellen, what do I have to do to prove to you that I am NOTHING like J.R., and that I'm not gonna cheat on you?"

She lovingly touches his face.  "My darling, you don't have to do anything.  I'm really very sorry for being so ridiculously insecure."

"It's alright.  But, you know, Sue Ellen, we aren't going to be able to avoid running into Donna Love now that she lives here in Dallas, and ESPECIALLY since her granddaughter Bridget is dating your grandson.  We're bound to run into one another from time to time, and are you gonna have one of these spells of jealousy every single time?"

"No, of course not.  And I know you're right.  I'm sorry, I was being very foolish.  I love you, Catlin Ewing, and I trust you."

"Good.  Because you, my Miss Texas, are the only woman that I am ever gonna want."  Catlin kisses her, then walks over to the mirror to begin putting on his tie.

Stone-Barnes Oil....later....

Brad walks into Stone-Barnes Oil later in the morning.  "Good morning, Mr. Stone,"  says the secretary.

"Morning, Sasha.  Any messages?"

"Yes.  Tracey McKay called, and she wants you to call her as soon as possible."

Brad sighs deeply.  "Tracey McKay, huh?  Damn.  I don't have to guess what that's about.  Is my father in, yet?"

"Yes, he came in about ten minutes ago."

"Thanks,"  Brad says.  He walks over to Cliff's office and knocks, then walks in.

"Good morning,"  Cliff says, sitting at his desk.

"Morning."

"I'm glad you're here.  I have a deal that you may be interested in us going into.  It's with Wilco Oil down in Houston."

"Cliff, we need to talk, and not about some oil deal we probably won't be able to go into."

"Why, what do you mean?"  Cliff asks.

"Sasha just told me that Tracey McKay left a message for me to call her as soon as possible."

"Tracey, huh?  Well."

"I guess we both know what that's about," says Brad.  "Tracey is administrator of Tripp McKay's will.  And, of course she's calling in our loan."

"Now, wait, we don't know that," Cliff says.

"What other reason would Tracey McKay have for wanting to talk to me?"  Brad asks.  "McKay's death only bought us a little time, and now, his aunt is about to call in that ten million dollar loan, and we're right back where we were."

"Alright, just calm down.  Now, look, I know Tracey.  I'll go and talk to her and see if I can persuade her to give us some more time to repay that loan.  Unlike her nephew, she's very reasonable.  And if we have a little time, then we can get this deal with Wilco Oil off the ground, and that'll be worth millions of dollars for us."

"You really think you can get Tracey to give us more time?"

"It's worth a try,"  says Cliff.

Brad nods.  "Alright, then, go for it.  See if you can buy us enough time to raise ten million dollars."

"I'll give her a call right now."  Cliff picks up his phone and looks Tracey's number up in his address book on his desk, then dials the number.  After the second ring, she answers.  "Tracey?  Hi, this is Cliff Barnes.  I'm doin' just fine, and how are you?"  Cliff smiles.  "That's great.  Hey, Tracey, would you happen to be free for lunch today?  You are?  Good.  How about having lunch with me?  There's something I'd like to talk with you about."

Ewing Oil....

Sally buzzes John Ross's office.  "John Ross, Jordan Lee is here to see you."

"Alright, thank ya, Sally.  Send Mr. Lee in."

A moment later, young Jordan Lee III walks into the office.

"Well, hello, Jordan, so glad you could come."

"What do you want, John Ross?"  Jordan asks.

"What, no hello, how are you?"  John Ross asks.

"Just get on with it.  Why'd you summon me here?"

"Need ya to do somethin' for me, Jordan,"  replies John Ross.  "And I need it done fast."

"I'm not your servant, John Ross.  I'm not here at your beck and call."

"Well, now that's where you're wrong, Jordan.  Need I remind you of a certain young lady, a certain UNDER AGED, young lady that you had sexual relations with a couple months back?"

"Which YOU set up,"  Jordan says.

"You know that, and I know that, but who do you think the cops will believe?"  John Ross asks.  "You?  Or the young lady you messed around with, which was caught on tape?  Jordan, I really don't wanna ruin you.  You're a young man, and this could affect the rest of your life....."

"Alright, just get on with it.  What is it you want me to do?"

John Ross smiles.  "That's much better."  He stands to his feet and walks to his bar, where he begins pouring a drink.  "Jordan, a while back Brad Stone borrowed some money from Tripp McKay to keep his little comp'ny afloat because he couldn't get anybody to do business with him."

"Thanks to you,"  Jordan says.

John Ross looks at him and smiles.  "Yeah, I did have somethin' to do with that, didn't I?  But, anyway, Stone borrowed ten million dollars from McKay and used Stone-Barnes Oil as collateral,  but then he pissed McKay off, and McKay called the loan in early, which, of course, Stone and Barnes couldn't pay.  But, before McKay collected that money, he was murdered."

"So?"  Jordan asks.  "What does this have to do with anything?"

"When McKay died, it was left up to the administrator of his estate to collect the loan, which is his Aunt Tracey.  But, here's the kicker........if someone, some third party, steps in and pays off that loan, then Stone-Barnes Oil becomes the property of that third party."

"John Ross, what is it you want ME to do?"

"Well, Tracey McKay itn't too fond of us Ewing, so I doubt she'd deal with me.  That's where YOU come in.  Jordan, I want you to go to Tracey McKay, and make an offer to pay off Stone's debt to her nephew's estate.  It's very much like payin' off someone's overdue property tax bill.  And then, of course, after you become the owner of Stone-Barnes Oil, you turn around and sell the comp'ny to me."

Jordan shakes his head.  "John Ross, I don't feel right about doing that.  Brad Stone and Cliff Barnes have never done anything to me.  I don't even know them.  And you want me to help you put them out of business?"

"Jordan, I don't give a damn how you feel about this.  You're gonna do it.  You and I have an agreement, remember?  Your little scret stays buried, in exchange for you doin' me a little favor from time to time."  John Ross walks over to his desk, takes a seat, and begins writing something on a sticky note.  Once finished, he hands the small piece of paper to Jordan.  "Here.  That's Tracey McKay's address and phone number.  Call the lady, and meet with her.  Today, as soon as possible.  In fact, you can call her from right here."

Jordan looks at John Ross for a few seconds, his heart filling with hate for this man who is blackmailing him.  Finally, he takes his cell from phone from his pocket and dials Tracey's number.  The phone rings several  times, and just as Jordan is about to hang up, Tracey answers.  "Yes, am I speaking to Tracey McKay?  Ms. McKay, my name is Jordan Lee III, vice-president of Lee Energies, and I'd like very much to meet with you about some business."

John Ross smiles as he listens to Jordan's side of the conversation.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital....later....

Just before noon, Lucy is in the cafeteria at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, about to have lunch.  As she finishes filling her tray, Lucy is about to walk over to a table to sit down, when someone bumps into her, almost knocking her tray out of her hands.

"Oh, I'm terribly sor........"  Mitch Cooper says, then he sees that the person he had bumped into was his former wife.  "Lucy," he says.

"Hi, Mitch."

"Hey, I'm really very sorry."

"It's fine,"  says Lucy.  "Nothing spilled."

"Good.  So what are you doing here at the hospital?"  Mitch asks.

"I had to come in for a test.  You know, a follow up to make sure my breast cancer is still in remission.  I had to drink this stuff, then they took some x-rays.  Now I have to wait a while, and go back up for some more x-rays, so I decided to have some lunch while I wait."

"Well, good, I'm glad nothing's wrong.  I was just taking an early lunch myself.  I have a pretty full afternoon.  Would you like to join me for lunch?"

"Sure, I'd love to,"  Lucy replies.  She and Mitch walk over to a table and take seats across from each other.  "So, how have things been going for you?"  Lucy asks.

"Things have been going well.  The hospital keeps me very busy, and, well, if things work out, I could be even busier very soon."

"What do you mean?"

Mitch smiles.  "Our Chief Of Staff, Dr. Evans, is retiring at the end of this months, and I'm one of three doctors being considered as his replacement."

"Oh, Mitch, that's wonderful,"  Lucy says with a smile.  "I'm so happy for you.  Looks like things are really working out for you."

"Yes, they are.  And what about you, Lucy?  How are things with you and your family?  I heard about all that's been happening, with John Ross's son being kidnapped by Brian Manning, and I also heard about Bobby's son Lucas being injured in a fire in California."

"Yeah, it's been just one thing after another,"  Lucy says.  "But then again, isn't it always like that with my family?"

Mitch laughs slightly.  "Yes, I suppose it it.  And what about you?"

Lucy sighs deeply as she lowers her eyes.  "Not much going on with me these days.  I look for ways to spend my time, or rather, to fill my time."

"Sounds to me like you're bored,"  Mitch says.

"Bored?"

"Yes, bored."

"Well, you're right about that.  I am pretty bored.  Ironic isn't it?  I use to be this spoiled little rich girl who loved spending her days lounging around the pool at Southfork, or around the apartment after we remarried and moved to Atlanta.  Now, that doesn't even appeal to me anymore.  Oh, I've spent a lot of days lunching with old friends, or shopping.  I've almost bought out most of the shops in town buying baby stuff for John Ross and Krystina's daughter Ellie, and for Little John.  But there's only so ,much shopping and lunching you can do."

"Then why not do something about it, Lucy?"  Mitch asks.

"Like what?"

"Like getting a job."

"A job?  ME?  You forget one thing.......I dunno how to do anything except run an art gallery, and I sold mine a few years ago when I moved back to Dallas."

"Then try something else,"  says Mitch.  "I know you don't need the money, so why not try something to give back to the community.  Like some type of volunteer work."

"Volunteer work?  Such as?"  Lucy asks.

"Well, there's all kinds.  You love kids, so why not something working with children?  You're a breast cancer survivor, so, you could do some kind of work with other women fighting the disease.  In fact, we have programs right here at the hospital you could get involved in."

"Really?  Y'know, Mitch, that's actually a good idea.  I would like to help people."

"Good.  When we finish lunch, if you have a few minutes, come with me and I'll get you some information."

Lucy smiles.  "Alright, thanks.  Maybe volunteering is just what I need.  I can help myself by helping others," she says, looking at Mitch.

La Petite Maison French Restaurant....

Tracey McKay walks into La Petite Maison Restaurant that afternoon and is greeted by the hostess, who leads her across the crowded restaurant to Cliff's table.  Cliff stands to greet her.  "Tracey, you look wonderful,"  he says.

"Thank you. Cliff,"  she says, taking a seat.

"Can I start you off with a drink?"  The hostess asks.

"Sure, I'll have a soda water,"  replies Cliff.  "Tracey?"

"A margarita."

"Be right back with those, and your server will be with you shortly."

"Thank you,"  Cliff says as she walks away.  He looks at Tracey and smiles.  "It's really good to see you.  How you holdin' up?"

"It's been hard for me, Cliff, knowing that my entire family is gone now.  My father, my brother, and both of my nephews," Tracey says.  "All I have left is Hunter."

"I know.  Oh, BOY do I know what that feels like.  I remember all too well what it was like for me after Pam's accident, when she disappeared from the hospital.  Pam was the only family I had left, besides Christopher.  At that time I didn't even know anything about Pamela, or Bradley, or Emma.  I was all alone in the world, so I can relate to what you're going through."

"Yes, I remember what it was like for you.  I miss Tripp so much.  I know that he had angered a lot of people, even hurt some.  But he was still the only family I had left, and I loved him."

"I know,"  Cliff says.

"Now that we have that out of the way, suppose you tell me what you really wanted to see me about?"  Tracey asks.

Cliff smiles.  "Well, of course I wanted to see how you were doing.  You are my grandson's great-aunt, after all."

"Cliff, I've known you for a long time, and I don't believe you called me here just to ask me how I'm doing since Tripp died.  Especially considering your timing."

"My timing?"

"Yes.  You know that loan your son Brad Stone got from Tripp for ten million dollars.  You also know that, as executor of my nephew's will, it's my job to collect that debt on behalf of Tripp's estate.  I'm sure you also know that I phoned Brad this  morning, and he probably sent you on his behalf since you and  I have a history and he and I don't."

"Well, yeah, y'know, we were kinda wonderin' about that."

"Yes, I'll bet you were,"  says Tracey.

"Y'see, Tracey, your nephew had called that loan in much earlier than originally agreed on, and that caused a problem."

"I saw the contract Tripp signed with your son.  And it clearly states that Tripp was within his rights to call the loan in any time he chose to do so."

"I know, but, calling in that loan just a couple of days after giving it to my son was just.......there was no way we could come up with that money so soon."

"Well, it's been weeks now since Tripp's death,"  says Tracey.  "Have you had time to raise the money?"

"No.  But, here's what I hope we can do,"  Cliff says.  "If you'll just give us some more time, say.......two months, tops, we have a really sweet deal in the works right now that will bring us enough capital to repay the loan in full."

"Well, I'm very sorry, Cliff, but, I can't help you."

"What do you mean, you can't help me?"

"I mean that you're too late.  The loan has already been paid, in full, with interest,"  replies Tracey.

"What?  Someone paid that loan?  Who?"

"I'm sorry, Cliff, I can't tell you.  The person had a condition of anonymity."

"Well, I know I didn't do it, and I know my son didn't pay the loan.  If Pamela had paid it, she would've told me.  Was it Brad's mother, Marilee Stone?"

"Like I said, I can't tell you."  says Tracey.

"Then that means that........whoever paid that loan, now owns our company,"  Cliff says in a worried tone.

Ewing Oil....

Sly buzzes John Ross's office.  "John Ross, Jordan Lee is on line one for you."

"Alright, thank ya,"  John Ross says.  He quickly picks up his phone.  "Jordan, give me the good news?  How'd your meetin' with Tracey McKay go?"

"Not well, John Ross.  You're gonna be disappointed, but, I wasn't able to do what you asked."

"And just why the hell not?" John Ross angrily asks.  "Jordan, I don't like receivin' disappointing news."

"I'm sorry but I was too late.  Someone already beat me to it."

"What do you mean by that?  You mean that, somebody else already paid that loan?  Who?  Barnes?  Stone?"

"I don't know, John Ross.  Tracey McKay wouldn't tell me who paid the loan.  Only that it had been paid in full."

"Damn,"  John Ross says with an angry sigh.  "Alright, well, at least you tried.  I'll be in touch."  He ends the call and tosses his phone onto the desk, wondering who had paid Brad and Cliff's loan off.

Drip coffee house in Dallas....

Alex, Bridget, Michelle, Ashley, and Shawn are all having cappuccinos that afternoon at the Drip Coffee House in downtown Dallas, the five teens chatting about everything from their upcoming fall at college to how good their cappuccino is.

"So, Michelle, how long are you planning on staying in Dallas?"  Shawn asks.

"For the summer, at least.  Maybe longer."

"Longer?"  Bridget asks her sister.  "I didn't know you were planning on staying longer than the summer."

"Well, who knows, it's kind of up in the air right now,"  Michelle says.  "After all, with you and Grandmother here in Dallas, our brothers live back east, and Aunt Marley is always so busy and she's traveling a lot, there's really nothing left for me in Bay City, so why not just make Dallas my home?"

"Well, that's great,"  says a smiling Shawn.  "We're just gonna have to make you feel so welcome here in Dallas this summer that you'll never wanna go back to Bay City again, right, Alex?"

"Oh, yeah, you bet,"  Alex says, looking at Michelle.

"Thanks, guys, I really appreciate that.  And, if all the guys in Dallas are as gorgeous and nice as you two, then I'm sure I'll love it here in Dallas,"  Michelle says as Bridget and Ashley look at her, Ashley rolling her eyes at how Michelle is flirting with both boys.

"Well, we'll just have to introduce you to some guys,"  Alex says.  "In fact, you should meet my friend Tyler.  He's been single for a couple months now, since he and his girlfriend broke up."

"Great.  Is he cute?"  Michelle asks.

"Oh, yeah, Tyler's pretty hot,"  replies Ashley.

"Well, I can't wait to meet him."

"Maybe we can all hang out at Southfork this weekend,"  says Alex.

Meanwhile, Clay walks into the coffee house and approaches the counter.  "May I help you?"  Asks the cashier.

"Yeah, I'll have a White Mocha,"  Clay replies.

"Coming right up," the cashier says.  "That'll be $4.33."

Clay takes a five dollar bill out of his wallet and gives it to the young man, who quickly gives Clay his change back.  A few seconds later, a teenage girl hands Clay his Mocha.  "Thanks,"  Clay says. As he turns to leave, he spots Ashley and the other teens at a table nearby.  He smiles, then casually walks over to them.  "Hello,"  he says.  "You're Ashley Beaumont, aren't you?"

"Yes, that's right."

"Well, I'm Clay Beaumont.  I'm......."

"Yes, I know who you are,"  Ashley says.

"Yes, of course,"  says Clay.  "Well, how are you?"

"Just fine."

"Do you think maybe we could get together some time and talk?"

"I don't think we have anything to talk about,"  Ashley says.

"I'm sorry, but I think we do.  And since Jimmy won't even give me the time of day, I was kinda hoping that you and I could connect.  I have a lot of questions about James.......about our father.  Questions about what it was like growing up with him as a father.  I could give you my number."

"Look, bro,"  Shawn says, standing to face Clay.  "Ashley said she doesn't wanna have anything to do with you, so why don't you just hit the road?"

"Are you speaking for Ashley now?"

"I don't need anyone speaking for me,"  says Ashley.  "I'm sorry, but, I really don't wanna talk to you."

"You heard her,"  Shawn says.

"Okay,"  says Clay.  "But, if you change your mind, here's my card."  He takes a small business card out of his wallet and places it on the table in front of Ashley.  Clay starts to leave, but pauses a moment, then looks at her.  "Ashley, y'know, besides my mother, I don't have any other family.  I'd really like to get to know you and Jimmy and the rest of the family.  I know what I did at James's funeral was wrong.  I'm not even sure why  I did it.  But please, just think about it."  Clay turns and leaves.

Shawn retakes his seat beside Ashley.  "That guy's got a lot of nerve after the stunt he pulled at your Dad's funeral."

"Wow, who was that?"  Michelle asks.

"Ashley's half-brother,"  replies Alex.

"Really?  Damn, he's cute.  So, Ashley, why don't you wanna have anything to do with him?"

"Because the guy's a jerk,"  Shawn says.  "He came to town, lied to everyone about who he is, and then he gets up at Ashley's Dad's funeral and announces to everyone that Ashley's Dad was his father."

"I kinda feel sorry for the guy,"  Alex says.

"You're  kidding,"  says Shawn.

"No.  I mean, the guy came to Dallas to get to know his family.  Sure, he went about it the wrong way, but, imagine how he's feeling.  He never even got to meet his father, and the rest of his family won't even speak to him.  That's gotta be tough."

Listening to Alex's words about Clay, Ashley picks his card up from the table and looks at it.  After hearing what Alex said, Ashley's heart begins to soften toward Clay.

Southfork....late afternoon....

Several ranch hands, inclucing Gavin Murray, are working on Southfork late in the afternoon, moving some cattle to another pasture, when Christopher rides out to join them.  "Hey, Gavin,"  he says, riding up to the young man.

"Hey, Christopher, what are you doin' out here?"  Gavin asks over the noise of the cows mooing.

"I left the office a little early,"  Christopher replies.  "I figured you fellas could use another good hand out here.  Besides, ranch work helps me keep my mind busy."

"Thinkin' about my sister?"  Gavin asks.

"Courtney's all I do think about.  Her and Jacob."

"Christopher, look, this is none of my business.  But, my Mom told me a little of what's beein goin' on between you and Courtney, and, to be honest, man, I think my sister is really bein' unfair to you.  I know about the miscarriage.  Now is a time when you and Courtney should be together, not apart."

"Thanks, man, I appreciate that.  But, I can also see where Courtney's comin' from.  She blames me for her miscarriage, and in a way, she's right.  It was partly my fault."

"I don't understand,"  Gavin says.  "How was it your fault?"

"You don't know the whole story about Jacob's adoption?"  Christopher asks.

"No." Gavin replies.  "What happened?"

Christopher sighs.  "I'm sure you remember when Courtney went to live with your aunt in Florida."

"Yeah, I do.  I was just 10-years-old then, and I'd gone to live with our father."

"In Florida, Courtney was dating this guy she went to school with named Chase Gioberti.  Well, one night, she and Chase had a fight, and Courtney ended up having sex with another guy.  An older guy, who turned out to be Chase's brother, Joseph.  When Courtney found out she was pregnant, she was scared.  See, she had lied to Joseph about her age the night they had sex.  They'd never met, so he had no idea that she was only 15, and that she was his younger brother's girlfriend."

"So, you're saying that this Joseph was over 18?"  Gavin asks.

"Yeah.  He was 24."

"Oh, wow."

"Courtney didn't wanna get him into trouble because she'd lied about her age, and even had a fake I.D.  So, as soon as she found out she was pregnant, she had sex with Chase, and then broke up with him and came back to your mother in Texas.  Then a couple years ago, when Courtney and I decided to find Jacob, we needed the biological father's consent because the judge ordered that the father be told of the child's existence.  So, still not wanting to cause any trouble for Joseph, Courtney lied and told Chase that he was Jacob's father.  Long story short, Jacob had been adopted by these people in California who were abusing him.  Courtney and I sued them for custody and  we won, but things got complicated when Chase Gioberti decided that he wanted custody of Jacob.  So, he sued me and Courtney for custody."

"Good grief.  Sounds like a story from 'Days Of Our Lives', or something,"  Gavin says.

"Yeah.  Well, anyway, Chase came to Dallas to see Jacob, and when he was here at Southfork, he and I got into a big fight, and I blurted out the truth that he wasn't Jacob's father, his brother is.  Courtney got so upset during the fight that she collapsed and miscarried our baby.  That's why she blames me.  She was so devastated that she took Jacob and moved into the hotel with Phyllis."

"Damn, Christopher, I'm real sorry about all that.  Wow, my sister really is a piece of work.  She's always been so judgmental toward me for my mistakes, but look at all the mistakes she's made.  And she left you when you need her the most.  Christopher, I'll be perfectly honest with you.  Courtney may be my sister, but, I think you deserve better."

"Courtney's a good person, Gavin,"  Christopher says.  "She's had a rough time of it and she's been hurt a lot."

"She's a hypocrite, man.  Lying to a guy and saying that he was her kid's father?  Having sex with him after finding out she was pregnant by his brother?  My father made some mistakes, too, and he never should've cheated on my mother, but the way Courtney treated him, dude.  She disowned my father.  Even changed her last name from Murray to my Mom's maiden name of Wapner."

"Gavin, you need to try to understand where your sister's coming from.  Maybe we shouldn't talk about this anymore.  Let's just get this work done."

Southfork....

Lucas walks onto the back porch at Southfork and takes a seat at the table.  A somber expression on his face, he looks out over the ranch.  Maria comes onto the patio carrying a tray with a glass and a pitcher of freshly made lemonade.  "Would you like some lemonade, Mr. Lucas?"  She asks.

"Yes, I'd love some."  The maid places a glass on the table, then pours Lucas some lemonade.   "Thanks, Maria."

"You're welcome.  I'll just leave the pitcher with you, I have another in the kitchen.  Will there anything else, Mr. Lucas."

"No, I'm fine, thank you."

Maria smiles, then goes back into the house.

As Lucas takes a sip of his lemonade, Bobby's car drives up and comes to a stop in the parking area.  Bobby gets out of the car and heads toward the house.  Spotting his son on the back porch, he walks over to him.  "That lemonade looks good," he says, taking off his jacket.

"Help yourself,"  Lucas says.

"Thanks,"  Bobby says.  "How're you feelin'?"

"Frustrated, Dad.  It really annoys the hell out of me that I can't remember what happened at Falcon Crest, or why I was even there."

"Lucas, it'll come to you,.  Don't try and push it."

"That's the same thing Mom said."

"Your mother was here?"  Bobby asks.

"Yeah.  As a matter of fact, you just missed her.  She left about fifteen minutes ago."

Heather comes onto the patio.  "Oh, Bobby, you're home early."

"Yeah.  Nothing much was happening at the office, Sue Ellen had a meeting, and Christopher had left early, so, I thought I'd come home early, too."

"Bobby, I'm actually glad you're here.  I think it's time we told Lucas the truth."

"Truth?  Truth about what?"  Lucas asks.

Heather takes a seat at the small table beside him.  "About California.  About why you went to Falcon Crest to see Emma."

"I knew it.  I knew you guys were keeping something from me."

"Lucas, we felt that it would be better for you to remember on your own, because the doctor in California who treated you after the fire felt that, the fire had been such a traumatic event and that's why you blocked the whole thing from your memory,"  Bobby says.  "But Heather's right.  It IS time we told you the truth."

"I'm listening."

Heather reaches over and takes her husband's hand.  "Lucas, you went to California to see Emma about her son, Logan."

"I gathered that much.  But why?"

Heather braces herself before replying.  "Because you had found out somethin' a few days before you went to California.  Lucas, you're the father of Emma's little boy."

"What?"  Lucas asks.  "Heather, what are you telling me?  I'm Logan's father?"

"Yes."

Lucas stands to his feet.  "Oh my God.  Why didn't you tell me?"

"Son, like I said, we thought it'd be best if you remember on your own,"  Bobby says.

"But, seein' how much this is torturin' you, Lucas, I felt it was time to tell you the truth."

"You said I found this out a few days before I went to California?"  Lucas asks.  "Did Emma tell me?"

"No,"  Bobby replies.  "You found out from Tripp McKay."

"McKay?  I found out that Logan is my son from Tripp McKay?"

"Yes."

A look of confusion comes over Lucas's face.  "Oh my God.  I........I think I remember.  We were having lunch, and McKay was there.  He told me about Logan, and that, that Ann knew all along.  That's why you and Ann separated, isn't it?"

"Yes, it is,"  replies Bobby.

"Do you know where Ann and Emma are staying?"  Lucas asks.

"Yes, I do."

"Lucas, you're not thinkin' of goin' over there to see Emma, are you?"  Heather asks.

"I'm doing more than thinking about, I'm GOING to see Emma and she's gonna tell me why she kept the truth from me all this time.  Dad, where are they staying?"

"The Omni, but Lucas I don't think you should confront Emma now, until you cool off some."

"I'm as cool as I'm gonna get,"  Lucas says, then walks away.

"Lucas!"  Heather calls after him.  "Bobby, maybe we shouldn't have told him."

"No, he deserved to know.  I'm goin' with him.  Don't worry, everything will be fine."  Bobby follows Lucas out to his car.  The two get in and as Heather watches, Lucas's car speeds away.

Ewing Oil....

John Ross walks to his bar and pours himself a drink.  Taking a sip, he walks to the window and looks out over the city, still angry over someone beating him to the punch in paying off Brad and Cliff's loan.  As he takes another sip of his drink his intercom buzzes.  "John Ross, Clay Beaumont is here to see you,"  Sly says.

"Clay Beaumont?  Now what in the hell does he want?  Okay, send him in, Sly,"  John Ross finishes off his drink, then walks over to his desk.  A second later, Clay walks in.

"John Ross, how's it going?"  Clay cheerfully asks with a smile.

"Clay, I'm in no mood, so just tell me what you want and then get out."

"My, my, aren't we touchy today?  What happened?"

"You know that information you gave me about Brad Stone's little loan he got from McKay?"

"Of course,"  Clay says.  "So, did you move on that?"

"I did, but I was too late.  Somebody beat me to it,"  says John Ross.

"Oh, you mean someone ELSE paid off Stone's debt?"

"That's right."

"But it wasn't Brad Stone or Cliff Barnes who repaid the loan?"  Clay asks.

"Nope, it wasn't.  But I intend to find out who did."

Clay smiles.  "Well, John Ross, I might just be able to help you out with that."

"How so?"

"If you wanna know who paid that loan off, in full, then you can look no further.  You found him."

John Ross stands to his feet and looks at him.  "You tryin' to tell me it was you?  YOU paid off that ten million dollar loan?"

"Sure did.  Plus interest."

"Why?  Why the hell would you do that, especially after you came to me and gave me the information about Stone's debt to McKay in the first place?"

"I did it to prove a point, John Ross,"  Clay replies.  "To prove to you that I can be just as resourceful, just as underhanded, and just as cutthroat as you.  And to prove to you that, like you, I have J.R. Ewing's blood coursing through my veins."

"You son a bitch,"  John Ross says.  "Maybe you are a Ewing after all.  I'm impressed, Clay.  Real impressed."

"I thought you might be."

"So, you now own Stone-Barnes Oil."

"Lock, stock, and barrel,"  says Clay.

"And what do you plan on doin' with that oil comp'ny?"

Clay walks to the door and starts to leave, then he turns back to John Ross.  "Well, maybe I'll just hang on to it.  I just might give Ewing Oil a little healthy competition."

"That comp'ny was never any competition for Ewing Oil, not when Stone and Barnes owned it, and sure as hell not now with someone as inexperienced as you owning it."

"We'll see, John Ross,"  Clay says.  "We'll see."  Clay smiles, then leaves the office.

"Damn,"  John Ross angrily says.  "I can see right now that my new found nephew is gonna be a real problem.  One that's gonna have to be eliminated."

Stone-Barnes Oil....

Brad is sitting at his desk, a sad look on his face, when Cliff walks into his office.  "Hey, are you alright?"  Cliff asks.

"What do you think?"  Brad asks.  "This company that I worked so hard to build has just gone up in smoke."

"Come on, there has to be something we can do."

"No, there isn't, Cliff.  Someone beat you to Tracey McKay and paid off that debt, which means that whoever that person is, now owns this company.  Now all we can do is just sit back and wait for them to come forward."

"I just can't believe it's come down to this,"  says Cliff.  "Y'know, this whole thing smells of the Ewings."

"I thought about that, too.  This is exactly the kind of thing John Ross would do.  If John Ross is behind this, I'll find out.  And I can promise you this, I'll make him pay,"  says Brad.  Just then, his intercom buzzes.  "Yes?"

"Mr. Stone, there's a lady here to see you and Mr. Barnes."

"A lady?  Who?"  Brad asks.

"She won't give her name.  But she says it's very important that she see both of you."

"Who could that be?"  Cliff asks.

"No idea,"  Brad replies.  "Only one way to find out.  Okay, send the lady in."

A moment later, Cliff's mouth falls open in shock when he sees Michelle Stevens walk into the office.  "Hello, Cliff.  It's been a long time."

"Oh my God.  Michelle?  Michelle STEVENS?  What are you doing here?"  Cliff asks.

"Oh, I just thought you might like to know who now owns this little oil company."

"Wait, what?"  Brad asks.

"What do you mean by that?"  Asks Cliff.

"Exactly what I said.  Stone-Barnes Oil now belongs to me."

"You mean it was you?  You paid off our debt to Tripp McKay's estate?"  Cliff asks.

"That's right,"  Michelle replies.

"Just who the hell are you, and what's your interest in this?"  Brad asks.

"My interest?  Oh, just settling an old score.  A score that's taken me a long time to settle."

"What the hell are you talking about?"  Cliff asks.

"Cliff, do you remember a night, many years ago, when I was very upset?  James had just left me to go back to Debra Lynn, and I felt like my life was over?  You were there for me that night.  I really tied one on, and the next morning, I woke up in your bed.  You had tricked me into marrying you the night before when I was too drunk to even remember it.  You married me because I happened to own part of Ewing Oil."

"So that's what this is about?"  Cliff asks.  "You paid off that debt so you could get your hands on our company because of something that happened YEARS ago?"

"I just happened to be in Dallas at the right time.  A time when you were in trouble.  I saw an opportunity and I took it.  My son, Clay, met with Tracey McKay and paid your loan off, plus interest.  So now, this company belongs to me and my son.  And I want you and YOUR son out of this building."

"You bitch,"  Brad says.

"I've been called worse,"  says Michelle.  "I'll give you both until tomorrow afternoon to vacate the building. Or else I'm having you thrown out."   Michelle walks to the door, then turns back to them.  "It's really nice to see you again, Cliff.  Especially under these circumstances.  Have a nice day."  Michelle smiles, then leaves the office.

"I don't believe that,"  Cliff angrily says.  "I just don't believe it.  Michelle Stevens?"

The Omni Hotel....

Emma comes out of the front entrance of the Omni Hotel and begins walking to the parking lot.  Meanwhile, Lucas's car pulls into the parking lot and comes to a stop.  He and Bobby get out of the car, and spotting Emma, Lucas hurries over to catch her as she is walking toward Ann's car.  Bobby follows his son.

"EMMA!"  Lucas calls to her.  "EMMA!!"

Hearing her name, Emma turns around, and her heart sinks with fear as she sees Lucas coming toward her, Bobby following behind him.  She is certain that Lucas has remembered the night of the fire at Falcon Crest and what she did to him.  Afraid of what Lucas was going to do, Emma quickly rushes for Ann's car, but Lucas runs and catches up to her.

"Hey, Emma!"  He yells, catching her just as she reaches the car.  He grabs her by the arm.

"Lucas, what do you want?"

"I want the TRUTH, Emma!"  Replies an angry Lucas.  "I know that Logan is my son, and I wanna know why you kept that from me all this time.  And I wanna know what happened at Falcon Crest the night of the fire, and don't you even think about lying to me."

Emma looks at him, an expression of fear on her face as she realizes the whole truth is about to come out!

A great episode John. I don’t know how you keep all these intertwined relationships straight. It’s truly amazing how you weave all these peoples lives together. You are really a great writer.

WOW! Cliff and Brad are flat busted and it took Michelle Stevens settling a decades old score to do it. I hope that Jordan Lee, III doesn't suffer any because Michelle beat John Ross to the punch. I think Clay is going to end up getting his ass kicked both physically AND financially. I'm glad that Eric turned out to be Catlin's son INSTEAD of Peter's. Looks like Bridgette's twin sister Michelle is trying to worm her way into either Alex or Shawn's heart. It'll be interesting to see which one, if either, succumbs to her charms.

Well, you certainly keep surprising us. I certainly did not expect Michelle Stevens to be the one to take over Brad and Cliff's company, but given Cliff and Michelle's history this revenge makes a whole lot of sense. And Michelle and Clay are now in business and to be reckoned with, the Cartel will probably do business with them. Wonder if Cliff will retire now that he is once more without a company... ;o)

Of course, I love the scene between Afton and Cliff. The setting was just like old times, the two of them talking between her sets at the club (Audrey Landers hit "Shadows of Love", no less). She was really there for him like always, but he is hiding something and she is catching on, because she is smart.

I feel bad for Justin. He really needs Pamela and Jimmy now and the real killer must be found quickly.

Oh, and Sly's return is just terrific.

    Great chapter, John. Thank you.

Michelle taking over Cliff and Brad's company is an interesting twist because she now has a power base of sorts in Dallas and it pits her against the Ewings. However she and Clay might have different agendas regarding the company. For example Clay may want the company in order to prove he can go up against the Ewings while Michelle may want to use the company to get revenge. As for Cliff, i hope he retires and concentrates on his family and been a grandfather. As for Brad, i'm sure he'll land somewhere job-wise.For example maybe Pamela hires Brad to work at Ewing Records because she might need help there because Justin might be busy with his legal troubles.
As for Alex, it makes sense that he might sympathize with Clay a little because he was sort of in Clay's shoes in the past. Also i hope Alex and Bridget stay solid as a couple and Bridget's sister Michelle goes after Shawn.I also find it interesting that there are now 2Michelles on Dallas.
Also i have a bad feeling about Christopher confiding in Gavin about Courtney's past because Gavin might use the info to his advantage.
Also i can't wait to see Lucas and Emma's confrontation

Nice to see Michelle do to Cliff what she did to J.R. all those years ago. However, she better enjoy her victory while she can because the Ewings aren't going to stand for it. They are going to take her down. As for her butthole son, I hope John Ross and Cristopher catch up to him in an ally and beat the crap out of him.

Great episode but I'm of a different view regarding clay I like him it's about time John Ross had someone in his family stand up to him a bit and rival his ruthlessness and cunning should be interesting as for Justin I hope he is found innocent I think he is a Decent guy reminds me of Bobby years ago when he had to go up and put with JR'S antics the same way Justin puts up with John Ross I think him and Pamela are a great couple also miss Jill also and where is jemery Wendell I hope he comes back causes so trouble he is without doubt the most cold hearted ruthless vicious rival to John Ross and Bobby as for cliff I still think he murdered Tripp set Justin up so he couldn't be with Pamela I guess time will see great episode as usually

There is not a chance in hell that Cliff Barnes murdered Tripp McKay. Parker and Timmy? Where the hell did you get that from? Cliff Barnes again did not murder his former son-in-law. This man is 73 years old LOL! He couldn’t murder anybody PERIOD! Tripp McKay was 33-35 years old or something. I keep telling everybody, I think the private investigator did it. Look at the way Tripp McKay was bludgeoned to death; trust me it took somebody young enough, and strong enough to do something like that. The private investigator Jake absouletely could have done it, and I’m surprised police are not looking at him. Brad Stone could have absolutely done it; he’s strong enough and Jake and him both have motives.

    Derek Mathews (Tuesday, 16 October 2018 00:24)

That’s one way to see it. But right now, I don’t like Clay, and I don’t trust Clay. I’ve said it all along, him and Michelle Stevens are some oppurtunists. Clay screwed John Ross and Michelle Stevens screwed Cliff Barnes and Brad Stone. The only bright spot is Barnes and Stone are out of business. Cliff Barnes needs to retire because he’s ruined two companies, Westar and Stone-Oil. And that’s why I can understand why Brads mom Marilee Stone didn’t want Brad to work with his father. Because she knew it was going to be blow up in his face. I too think Justin is a decent guy, but his history with John Ross is not even close to Bobby’s with JRs. Bobby and JR had so many disagreements over business and family, and they got into fights too. I don’t even think Justin is like Bobby. Bobby at times seems like a self-righteous, and santomious bully. And his temper is explosive. That’s not Justin, he’s not a bully. Sure John Ross and Justin get into disagreements, brothers do that. But they have never gotten into physical fights, that’s way different. I think Pamela and Justin are a great couple too. But John Ross has a point. Justin is in this situation because he was dating Pamela at the time, and it got really ugly, then Justin threatens McKay in front of 40 witnesses. Then next thing he knows he’s in jail. Pamela blames herself too.

And as for Jeremy Wendell, his time is coming really soon. He is cold-hearted and ruthless, but his time is coming. You don’t just harbor a fugitive like that, and get away with it. He will be arrested very soon, and I cant wait to see the stupid look on his face when it happens.

Do me a favor, Bridgette McKinnon and Ashley Beaumont, PLEASE keep your eyes on Michelle McKinnon, Bridgette’s twin sister. She’s after one or both of your men. Alex, please set her up with your friend Tyler so you don’t get caught in any messy. Love triangles are dangerous, and someone always gets hurt. Because she was definitely being so flirtatious it was obvious.

Derek Matthews i don't think it was that PI Jake who killed Tripp because the last time we saw him Tripp had had 2 guys grab Jake and drove away with him and Tripp told those 2 men to mess Jake up.So Jake might have an alibi. Also i keep wondering if the phone call Tripp got right before he was murdered was somehow from the killer because otherwise how would the killer have known Tripp was going to leave the building at that exact moment.Plus Tripp was surprised to see his killer but it seemed he knew his killer. Also i keep wondering if the real killer didn't mean for Justin to get blamed. For example maybe Jill is the killer because since she's Justin's sister she might have access to his vehicle and she found the wrench. However Jill didn't plan for Justin to be accused.I also agree that Cliff didn't kill Tripp but i do think he knows something about the murder.Maybe he was at the murder scene and he saw something or someone there.
As for Justin, i do wonder if his lawyer in order to create reasonable doubt might have to go after Pamela because she had motive and since she is dating Justin she had access to his vehicle and his wrench. So if Justin's lawyer does after Pamela that could cause problems between Justin and Pamela.

@Andrew I also don't think that Cliff actually killed Tripp, but he is acting strangely and Afton is getting suspicious, so I think she will confront him at some point. I also think that he was at the scene of the crime and saw something or someone that he might be protecting.

I also worry that suspicion might at one point focus on Pamela. We still don't know where she was the night of the murder. Lucas also had blood on his shirt. I wonder if at this point he even remembers it.

John is great at surprising us and getting us on the wrong track, so Tripp's killer might still be someone we least expect.

Andrew Hass take it from a guy who has watched his fair share of mysteries like on Snapped, Killer Couples, Forsensic Files, Dateline, Fatal Attraction, 48 Hours, and so on. In shows like that, I learned that when someone is killed, the victim almost always knew his or her killer. I think Tripp McKay did know his killer. Okay, if it wasn’t the private investigator, then who? It was a man that killed him so I would think that Jill Cryder-Smithfield would be excluded cause she is a woman. That would make the suspects men like Brad Stone, Shawn Smith, and Lucas Ewing. That’s a lot of possibilities to consider. They would be messed up if Pamela did frame Justin; that would definitely cause problems between them, but Pamela seems to care about Justin so I can’t see that happening. I too think Cliff Barnes knows something about the murder because Afton is starting to get suspicious. I don’t want Justin’s lawyer going after Pamela. He doesn’t want that either. But right now I’m very suspicious of Brad Stone, Lucas Ewing, and Shawn Smith. The killer will probably be somebody we will never suspect. So we will just have to find out. John has a way to throw these curveballs in these stories.

Verena, I think Cliff Barnes does know something about the murder. But yeah, he’s acting very strange and suspicious. And Afton knows him way too well. Anyway, the people he’s obviously trying to protect here are himself, his son, and his daughter Pamela. Lucas and Shawn both had blood on their shirts. Neither of them may not have remembered it. And I still think Brad Stone is a strong suspect. They all had motives.

Plus, I’m glad that Tracey McKay was in this episode. I like her for Bobby Ewing so much better than Jenna Wade. They like each other, they have common interests, and loved ones that have both died. She’s the only member of the McKay family that I could say I ever liked. Set up these two, and keep Jenna Wade away from Bobby Ewing.

Do you plan on having a will reading of Tripp's soon? Maybe he left lots of westar shares to his son for when he turns 18

    Andrew Hass (Tuesday, 16 October 2018 12:11)

@Derek Matthews it seemed to me that at first Tripp was surprised by who he saw but he wasn't scared of that person until he saw that lug wrench in that person's hand and then he realized he was in danger. Also since Tripp kicked his killer in the leg the killer might have a bruise or something on his or her leg.As for Cliff, i think he saw either Pamela or Brad at the scene of the crime and he's trying to protect them.As for Justin's lawyer, his or her job is to create reasonable doubt and if that means going after Pamela so be it.Plus Pamela had great motive for wanting Tripp dead and she had access to Justin's lug wrench. So it would be stupid if Justin's lawyer doesn't try to make her look guilty in order to get Justin off.As for Tripp's will, i'm sure he left everything to his son but he might have put someone surprising in charge of his estate until his son reaches the age of consent.

maybe you should kill off cliff or brad or
    bobby dose drame season

    Derek Mathews (Tuesday, 16 October 2018 14:43)

It’s just how HALF the town wanted this guy dead Andrew Hass! Like really?!!! And then everybody had a motive, and a strong one at that. Man, that would be really messed up if Justin finds that Pamela is the reason why he’s in jail. But i still blame her because he was in that position, and everything. She’s thinking the same thing that John Ross is. His lawyer could create reasonable doubt, and you are right. He will do anything to get his client off. That’s a lawyers job, and she had a motive too. The dangerous thing with these type of cases is they amount of suspects and motives; that’s very hard to break down. I’m trying to figure out how in the world did his lung wrench come missing? But we will find out though.

M, they not going to do that because drama is the name of the game. They not going to kill off Brad, Cliff, or Bobby to dose drama season. Dallas is a drama show.,

    Andrew Hass (Tuesday, 16 October 2018 15:35)

@Derek Matthews I don't think Pamela killed Tripp because even though she was made at him he was still Hunter's father and i don't think she would be able to kill the father of her father. Now i could see Pamela killing Tripp if it was an accident or self-defense but not cold-blooded murder. Also i wonder if until Justin's legal problems is settled Pamela decides to back away from him because it might not help his case if the he's dating the ex-wife of man he's accused of murdering.I also think the story of Justin been accused and him going on trial probably will last through most of the season and the killer may not be revealed until near the end of the season and it could lead into the season finale.
As for that lug wrench, i wonder when it was taken because if it was taken a few days before Tripp was murdered then Tripp's murder and framing Justin for it might have been planned and not a spur of the moment thing.

Cliff blew up the ewing energiesrig with his pregnant daughter on it he also had a huge motive to kill Tripp and frame Justin I could be wrong

  • #31

    Derek Mathews (Tuesday, 16 October 2018 21:20)

That whole Ewing Energies thing was just bad writing. That’s not the Cliff Barnes I remember. The TNT version had serious issues with character development, and relationships. Cliff Barnes resembled a crime boss on Dallas. That’s something you would expect out of The Godfather, not Dallas. Then what made it worse is his henchmen had more of a heart than he did. He’s like, your daughter is on the oil rag pregnant, he acted like he didn’t give a damn. Do it anyway; I don’t see how Cliff Barnes could have done that. The guy that killed McKay looked to be strong and athletic, and young. Barnes is not either. He’s 73 years old. He can’t murder anybody.

  • #32

    Verena (Wednesday, 17 October 2018 07:31)

Derek, I totally agree. I hated what the TNT version did to the Cliff Barnes character. The character always had his faults, yes, he was egotistical, sometimes even ruthless, but never cold-blooded like in the new series. He used to care about his family, about Afton. That is why I am glad that John has developed Cliff's character back or closer to the Cliff we know from the original series. That's also why I think that Cliff has not murdered Tripp here.

    Derek Mayhews (Wednesday, 17 October 2018 15:22)

That’s a really good prediction. That might happen, and then Brad Stone becames a lot more powerful. I could see John throwing a curveball and having Austin Wentworth as the new CEO too. Either scenario would be excellent.

And when Cliff blew up the oil rig with Pamela on it I was thinking "And he calls J.R. evil?"

    Derek Mathews (Thursday, 18 October 2018 10:57)

Parker Bena, how is Cliff Bsrmes incriminating himself? I’m vastly curious because I have no idea at the end of the day. Let me know.

  • #39

    Derek Mathews (Thursday, 18 October 2018 11:14)

Rose and Parker, Sly and Bobby would be a great romance. But I will even give you a better one; Tracey McKay and Bobby Ewing. I like them because they know each other, they have history, they like each other, and Tracey needs somebody in her life. That poor woman has nobody in her life. Her nephews are dead, her father is dead. She’s all alone. Bobby has lost loved ones too. They are connected emotionally. Plus she is gorgeous, smart, trustworthy, and forgiving.

  • #40

    Andrew Hass (Thursday, 18 October 2018 14:33)

@Derek Matthews i could go for a pairing of Bobby and Tracey.Plus just like Tracey needs someone in her life maybe Bobby needs someone in his life too who he can just enjoy spending time with.Plus on the original series if i remember correctly Bobby and Tracey broke up amicably because they both realized it was no longer working between them and maybe they knew they had sex before they loved each other. So maybe they could have a second chance now and take things slowly and not rush into anything. However Tracey may not want to be with Bobby romantically until he deals with his marriage to Ann because she may not want to be the other woman. As for Jenna, i think Bobby will always love her because she's his first love and she's Lucas's mother but i don't think Bobby will ever consider getting back together with her.

  • #41

    Derek Mathews (Thursday, 18 October 2018 18:00)

Well right now, Bobby doesn’t know what the state of his marriage is. Neither does Ann, and Jenna Wade is a troublemaker. She’s using this tradegy to get back with him, and that’s not right. But you right, Tracey definitely may not want to be with Bobby romantically until he figures out what’s going to happen with Ann. And im not sure if there is going to be an reconciliation or not. But I’m just saying, Tracey McKay and Bobby Ewing make much more sense. They did date on the original show, but they broke up I guess. That’s a good lesson to go by. You know maybe if they take their time, and everything things might end up different.

Derek: The statement Cliff made about McKay's death buying them a little more time seemed kind of incriminating to me.

    Derek Mathews (Saturday, 20 October 2018 09:39)

Once you say it out loud, you have a point, and everything. Cliff Barnes is acting very suspicious. I understand now at the end of the day.

  • #44

    Verena (Sunday, 21 October 2018 10:52)

Michelle Stevens taking over Stone Barnes Oil could also cause a major rift between Cliff and Brad because in the end Cliff's misdeeds of the past have caused Michelle's revenge. I imagine Brad might blame his father for this. I think this would bother Cliff because he cares about his son and it would be another relationship that he has seriously damaged.

  • #45

    Andrew Hass (Sunday, 21 October 2018 11:44)

@Verena You make a good point that Brad might blame Cliff since Michelle taking over the company may have been more about getting revenge on Cliff than about business. However i'm wondering if Michelle might keep Brad in the company in some position because that could hurt Cliff even more in that his son is still in the company but he isn't.

  • #46

    Verena (Sunday, 21 October 2018 12:59)

@Andrew I absolutely agree that Michelle's actions are even more about revenge than business. If she kept Brad on, she would have to change her mind about throwing him out of the building though, as she has already announced. It might also spell trouble to have Brad and Clay at the same company, so she will probably want to get rid off Brad altogether.

  • #47

    Andrew Hass (Sunday, 21 October 2018 13:07)

@Verena Like i wrote above i think Michelle and Clay have different agendas where the company is concerned. For example Michelle may want to use it to get revenge on the Ewings and Clay may want to use it to try to prove something. So Michelle may want to have an ally in the company and since the employees may know and like Brad Michelle may want to keep him around as an ally at least at first until she gets settled in.
